How do I schedule a tour?

What does the rental fee include?
It includes: One hour of clean-up time after the event (must be out by midnight), use of the beautifully landscaped venue grounds, white classic-style tent with optional cathedral window sides, private entrance and parking lot, WiFi, A/V equipment, trash and recycling, restrooms, the natural woodland cedar gazebo, Birch swing set, the hand-picked garden furniture, and custom bar. We do not have a kitchen or prep area available on-site.
Is there an extra fee for holding the ceremony on-site?
No, the rental includes the entire venue space and we'd love to host both your wedding and reception!
What should I let my guests know about Nagelkirk Gardens?
We are an outside venue, so please dress for the occasion! Let your guests know to wear comfortable shoes (stilettos will be difficult on the lawn) and to bring a jacket.
Are outside vendors allowed?
Yes, however they must be approved in advance. It is recommended that any vendor such as caterers, photographers, DJ/band/musician to be hired for the event visit the property prior to the event date. This allows vendors that are unfamiliar with the space the opportunity to inspect the facility and eliminate any potential problems in advance.
What will happen if there's inclement weather on my event day?
We will discuss a plan for inclement weather when booking and planning your event. If you are concerned about the cold, we have heaters available to rent. We're also available to put the cathedral window sides on our tent if necessary.
What's your alcohol policy?
Please contact us for more information. The alcohol policies at Nagelkirk Gardens are subject to state laws.
We are a greenhouse as well, so we don't allow outside floral vendors. Our in-house floral designer would love to work with you to help bring your vision to life.
Do I need to hire an event planner or coordinator?
We recommend hiring an event planner or day-of coordinator to help make sure your event runs smoothly, but it's not required. You're also able to hire our venue manager as your event planner or day-of coordinator!
What are my responsibilites at my event?

Are there restrooms available for guests?
Yes, we have two stalls in the womens restroom, and one stall in the mens restroom. In general, you will need at least two bathroom stalls for every 100 guests; for 150 guests, four or more stalls are recommended.
Is Nagelkirk Gardens available to accomodate guest in a wheelchair?
Yes, our entire property is on the ground floor. We also have accessible parking and restrooms.
What are the caterer's responsibilities?
- Providing dishware, silverware, and set-up for all food and equipment
Plastic or glass?
We encourage plastic since we're an outside venue, but glass is allowed.
Can we "potluck" the event?
Absolutely! You will just need to coordinate all the aspects of food and beverage that a caterer would provide, including responsibility for food safety and the complete clean-up at the end of the night. In addition, you will need to provide a TIPS or SafeServ certified bartender and insurance.
Are there any restrictions on decorations?
Out of respect for the property and environment, rice, confetti, balloons, glitter, fireworks, and pyrotechnics are NOT permitted inside or outside the facility. The use of birdseed, flower petals, sparklers, or blowing bubbles are permitted outside for wedding and reception farewells.
Will anyone from Nagelkirk Gardens be staffing the event?
Yes, there will be a staff member on-site to help with set up, answer any questions, or troubleshoot any problems.
Can guests leave their cars overnight?
Absolutely! Guests may leave their cars overnight and need to retrieve them by noon the following day.
How do I reserve my date?
We require a $500 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit to reserve your date.
Do you sell sod?
No, we do not sell sod.
What plants, trees, and shrubs do you have in stock?
